Material detail: The bagasse fiber comes from sugar mills as a byproduct of juice extraction. It is cleaned, dried, and pressed into bowls under heat and pressure. No bleaching agents are used, which is why the color is cream rather than white. The rolled rim at 6 mm gives a smooth edge that doesn't cut into your hand. The base is pressed denser than the side walls (1.5 mm vs 1.0 mm) so the bowl sits stable on a tray and resists bulging when filled with heavy stew or a full salad. The side wall tapers from 160 mm at the top to 115 mm at the base, which allows tight nesting for storage. When you run a finger inside the bowl, you feel a continuous surface with no ridges or thin spots.
